Trail Info: From the parking lot behind the Visitors Bureau turn left on Broadway and ride across the bridge to the 4-way stop at Wahanna Road. Turn left and stay on Wahanna Road to the intersection with Lewis and Clark Road just past North Coast Church. Turn right to Lewis and Clark Road, cross the bridge and follow Lewis and Clark Road veering left at the bottom of the hill. Ride up the hill and descend the other side about 3/4 mile to a white and green gate on the right with number 71 on the left post.  This is the Lewis and Clark Mainline entry gate. Enter the gate and stay on the paved road past a chain-link fenced area on the right about 1/2 mile beyond the gate.  This is the Warrenton Reservoir. Just past the reservoir, look for a road on the right with a white and green gate numbered 73.  This is the start of the 300 Mainline. Turn right to the 300 Mainline, go through the gate and begin climbing the hill.  At about 1 mile the 300 Mainline veers to the left. Go left and continue on the 300 Mainline passing the yellow 1 mile sign. Follow the well-traveled 300 Mainline about 4 miles to a T intersection. Go left at the intersection and continue on the 300 Mainline riding past the yellow 5 mile sign.  Just past a yellow 5 ½ mile sign take the middle of the three roads and continue on the 300 Mainline. In about 3/10 mile take the middle road at a three-way intersection and ride past a signpost marked 322/L SO FK XO.  This is the start of the Little South Fork Crossover Road. Stay on this road as it climbs over a ridge at the 1,480 foot high point and makes a spectacular descent down the side of the canyon for about 3 miles. At the bottom of the canyon, the road crosses the Little South Fork on a one-lane bridge.  Continue on this road following the Little South Fork about 6/10 mile passing a small dam. Ride past the white and green gate to a T-intersection.  This is the Lewis and Clark Mainline. (For a nice side trip at this point turn right and follow the Lewis and Clark Mainline for 1/4 mile to a steel bridge with an awesome view of the South Fork Canyon and the confluence of the South Fork and Little South Fork.) Turn left and follow the Lewis and Clark Mainline about 2 ½ miles passing another white and green gate and the Campbell Group office to return to the entry gate at Lewis and Clark Road. Turn left on Lewis and Clark Road and return to the Visitors Bureau reversing the route that was taken on the way out.
