Trail Info: The ride climbs the low hill east of Seaside, descends into the Lewis & Clark River Valley and follows the Lewis & Clark River to its mouth at Miles Crossing on Youngs Bay. From Miles Crossing the ride returns through Ft. Clatsop National Monument. Be sure to allow time to visit the Lewis & Clark winter encampment and museum at Ft. Clatsop before returning to Seaside. There is an admission charge and bike racks are provided but bring your own lock. From the Visitors Bureau turn left (east) on Broadway and cross the bridge to the 4-way stop at Wahanna Road. Turn left and stay on Wahanna Road to the intersection with Lewis & Clark Road just past North Coast Family Fellowship. Turn right to Lewis & Clark Road, cross the bridge and follow Lewis & Clark Road keeping left at the bottom of the hill. Ride up the hill and descend the other side continuing north on Lewis & Clark Road to the junction with Logan Road about 9 miles from the Visitor Bureau. Bear right at the junction with Logan Road. Follow Logan Road about 3 miles to a second junction with Lewis & Clark Road. Continue straight ahead on Lewis & Clark Road to Miles Crossing about 15.5 miles from the Visitors Bureau. The convenience store at Miles Crossing is a popular snack stop for bike riders. From Miles Crossing, head left (west) on the Warrenton – Astoria Hwy (Alt 101) about 2 miles to the junction with Ft. Clatsop Road. Turn left on Ft. Clatsop Road and continue to the National Monument entrance on the left. From the National Monument, turn left (south) on Ft. Clatsop road and continue about 3 miles until Ft. Clatsop Road becomes Lewis & Clark Road. Do not cross the bridge but continue straight ahead on Lewis & Clark Road past the junction with Logan Road. Follow Lewis & Clark Road back to Seaside and the Visitors Bureau.
