Description: The ride begins and ends at the Seaside Visitors Bureau parking lot.  The ride follows the 300 Mainline and the 320 Road to a spur road that makes a steep and technical ascent to the saddle between the Twin Peaks, the two prominent peaks southeast of Seaside.  The ride descends the same spur road and follows the 320 Road back to Beerman Creek Canyon and Beerman Creek Road returning to the Visitors Bureau.  The spur road climbing to the Twin Peaks saddle should only be attempted by experienced mountain bike riders.  On a clear day, the view from the saddle is well worth the effort.

The Ride: All distances are approximate.

From the parking lot behind the Visitors Bureau turn left on Broadway and ride across the bridge to the 4-way stop at Wahanna Road.

Turn left and stay on Wahanna Road to the intersection with Lewis and Clark Road just past North Coast Church.

Turn right to Lewis and Clark Road, cross the bridge and follow Lewis and Clark Road veering left at the bottom of the hill.

Ride up the hill and descend the other side 3/4 mile to a white and green gate on the right with number 71 on the left post.  This is the Lewis and Clark Mainline entry gate.

Enter the gate and stay on the paved road past a chain-link fenced area on the right 1/2 mile beyond the gate.  This is the Warrenton Reservoir.

Just past the reservoir, look for a road on the right with a white and green gate numbered 73.

Turn right to the 300 Mainline, go through the gate and begin climbing the hill.  At 1 mile the 300 Mainline veers to the left.

Go left and continue on the 300 Mainline 4 miles to a T intersection.

Turn right at the intersection and follow the 320 road climbing a low ridge and begin a descent into a sweeping curve to the right past a spur road to a 4-way intersection.

At the 4-way intersection continue straight ahead on the 320 Road 1 mile passing several unmarked spur roads to a signpost marked E HWLY.

Take the unsigned road to the right just past the signpost to begin the climb to Twin Peaks.

At ½ mile bear to the left at a junction with a spur road and continue 2/10 mile to another junction.

Take the steep and rough track to left and continue to the level saddle between the Twin Peaks.

An overgrown road continues past the saddle and almost to the summit of West Twin Peak.  There is no known riding route to the summit of the higher East Twin Peak.

Return down the mountain to the 320 Road the same way that you came.  Turn left at the junction and follow the 320 Road back to the 4-way intersection.

At the intersection, turn right and ride past the 2 ½ mile sign.

Follow road down the canyon for 2.5 miles to a 4-way intersection.

Continue riding straight ahead 4/10 mile to a white and green entry gate.

Go through the gate and continue on Beerman Creek Road to Highway 101.

Turn right (North) on Highway 101 towards Seaside.

Turn Right to Avenue S.  Cross a bridge and bear left to Wahanna Road.

Turn left on Broadway to return to the Visitors Bureau parking lot.
